About The Album
Manson Swings offers a much different look at the Marilyn Manson songs we all know and love.
The Weather Service married seemingly opposite concepts together to a very unique effect. The arrangements by Kemp sometimes employ elements of the original recording, and sometimes they take on a shape of their own. The mellow feel of cool on this record just adds to the mystique of its source material.
Made during the corona virus lock down, Manson Swings was produced in about six months. Randy Kemp dominates playing most of the instruments on this album, accompanied by Ilya Gitelman on lead guitar, Nick Rodriguez on bongos, and "Doc" Stephens on bass.
Kemp was a big fan of the band Marilyn Manson growing up, and created this unique project as an homage to the group. This is the first full cover album of any of Manson's material, and after released management believes this may be the only jazz album containing explicit lyrics.
